Club competitions are open only to Members. Between 6 and 8 club competitions are held each season, most of them are Open Competitions allowing members to enter images on any subject. Occasionally there is a Set Subject competition, restricting the subject matter.

There are three sections, Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced. The scoring is out of 10.

We have two categories, one for Prints, which are presented in 40cm x 50cm mounts, and one for PDIs, (Projected Digital Image) which are projected onto a big screen for the competition.

The judge on these evenings is arranged in advance, normally from another Surrey club, or perhaps from the Southern Photographic Association.
