Jim Henson AV Competition Results 2026
Jim Henson AV Competition Results 2026
This year there were a few changes to the way the competition was run. Kathleen Bird stepped down last year after running the competition for 10 years, and Brian Marjoram ARPS/MM took over. The judge Mark Allen DPhil MPAGB/AV attended virtually via Zoom, a first for us at a live competition in the hall.
Mark started the afternoon with an interesting presentation which included four of his AVs. Then we watched each of the 14 entries and Mark commented on each of them. The switch from the live viewing in the hall to Mark appearing on the screen via Zoom worked well, making it an interesting afternoon.
Congratulations to Richard Knapp LRPS for winning the Jim Henson AV trophy with an excellent entry entitled “Belfast”. As the judge lives in Belfast and knows it well, this was a risky choice, but Mark loved it and said that it was a solid production and a worthy winner.
After this successful venture into remote judging we look forward to continuing in the future in order to take advantage of the wide range of high quality judges available in the international circuit.
