This year for the first time the BBQ was held at the Church Centre in Headley. The location was excellent, with use of the kitchen and toilet facilities, and a fall-back of the hall if it rained. However, the weather was perfect and everyone set up their chairs, tables and gazebos on the large grass area next to the hall. The food was excellant as usual, thank you Sue and the cooks.
Ludshott Photographic Club was officially started in January 1995, and to celebrate 30 successful years we had a talk about the club’s history from the President, Kathleen Bird. The talk was followed by tea and cake and plenty of chat.
We also had an anniversary dinner at the Fox and Pelican in Grayshott which was well attended.
How lucky we were to have such lovely weather for our annual BBQ. We were once again able to hold our summer party in the beautiful garden of John and Carole Wilson who welcomed over 40 of us. So a big thank you to both of them once again.
A big thank you to John Gamble for organising the event and the important meat ordering which was then perfectly cooked by Colin Smith and Bob Cole.
Thanks must also go to Angus for organising the gazebo for the much needed shade and a big thank you to all members and partners who came and helped and provided all the delicious salads, desserts and raffle prizes and Michelle Stokes and Linda Rae for folding all the tickets.
As they say – Many Hands Make Light Work – we all had a very happy and successful afternoon with the usual eating, drinking and chatting.
30 members attended the annual dinner on 12 March 2020 at the Royal Exchange. The food and service was as good as ever, thank you Yvonne for organising it so well.
Judging by the happy snaps I took everyone had a good time.
The Club turned 10 in January 2005, and in these photos there are many old friends. We also received a grant from the lottery to buy our first laptop and projector, a project successfully run by David Barrett and David Huntingford.
The then President of the Royal Photographic Society, Roger Reynolds, presented the certificate to our Chairman Phil Peddy. Rosemary Wilman and Carole Speight were invited as guests.
It was Phil’s birthday, which explains why David Huntingford is presenting him with a cake.
Twelve members met at the Fox and Pelican on Monday evening 9 December 2019. There was an almost full moon, and although it was cold it was a beautiful clear night. The lights in Grayshott were at their best, and we all wandered round taking photographs of them. Afterwards we met in the pub for a drink and a chat. An enjoyable evening, and some of our efforts can be found HERE
Once again we held the summer party in the beautiful garden of John and Carole Wilson. Thank you both for hosting it again. The cooks were excellent, Yvonne’s organisation as good as ever, and 26 members enjoyed a pleasant summer afternoon eating and chatting.
The annual club dinner was held at The Royal Exchange on Thursday evening 14 March. 32 members attended, and all agreed that the food and service were excellent.
Unfortunately I forgot to take a camera, so I apologise for the poor quality of the pictures – obviously I need more practice with a telephone, or a better memory!
