A group of members who live in Headley Down visited this new nature reserve this afternoon. Angela Jackson, the trust’s chairman, showed us round. The trust has done impressive work in the 11 months since it began, laying paths, clearing scrub and brambles, and planting wild flowers. They will be putting in benches and play areas to make it attractive to visitors, with wheelchair friendly paths.
We shall be visiting often to photograph progress.
Co-op members can now choose to support Headley Down Nature Reserve as their local project. Log on to the co-op website.
