"Audio Visual is about combining photographs to tell a story, enhancing the images with music, narration and other sound effects. It is a different way of presenting your work and ideas." (Quote from the AV section of the RPS website)
The Audio Visual Group was started in 2005 by a small group of Club members who wanted to learn more about digital “slideshows”. We investigated apps, sound programs, recording and mixing sound and how to turn a set of images into a story or a sequence of photos which didn’t put the audience straight to sleep.
We meet 5 or 6 times in the winter months
Since 2012 we have run an AV competition each year to which we have invited other clubs. In 2016 the format of the competition was changed and we now run the Jim Henson Trophy Competition.
